SSDI Ponggal Celebration 2023

  The residents of the Sri Saradha Devi Illam Welfare Association, Malaysia have celebrated the pongal festival with great enthusiasm at our association. This festival is dedicated to the sun god, Surya Bhagawan, and corresponds to Makar Sankranti, the harvest festival under many regional names celebrated throughout India. The three days of the Pongal festival are called Surya Pongal, and Mattu Pongal and Kaanum Pongal.

Food Handling Course by Ministry of Health Malaysia

A food handling course have been conducted for children and members of Sri Saradha Devi Ashram to raise awareness of the importance of preparing and handling food in a clean manner. The course was conducted by a personnel from the Ministry of Health. All attendees were presented with certificates at the end of the course.
