SSDI Ponggal Celebration 2023

  The residents of the Sri Saradha Devi Illam Welfare Association, Malaysia have celebrated the pongal festival with great enthusiasm at our association. This festival is dedicated to the sun god, Surya Bhagawan, and corresponds to Makar Sankranti, the harvest festival under many regional names celebrated throughout India. The three days of the Pongal festival are called Surya Pongal, and Mattu Pongal and Kaanum Pongal.

5th International Yoga Day Celebration

On 23 June 2019, the children of Sri Saradha Devi Ashram have participated in the 5th International Yoga Day celebration at Batu Caves.
The event which was organised by the Malaysian High Commission of India was attended by more than 1000  people. There were sessions of yoga asanas and presentation of acrobatic yoga by two yoga association.
"The purpose of Yoga is for our inner well-being. It does not belong to any particular faith or religion. It was passed on to us by the ancient seers for the well-being of humanity. Yoga helps us to reconnect with nature and eventually become one with God". 
It was truly a wonderful session to start the day with😊!
