  The residents of the Sri Saradha Devi Illam Welfare Association, Malaysia have celebrated the pongal festival with great enthusiasm at our association. This festival is dedicated to the sun god, Surya Bhagawan, and corresponds to Makar Sankranti, the harvest festival under many regional names celebrated throughout India. The three days of the Pongal festival are called Surya Pongal, and Mattu Pongal and Kaanum Pongal.

It is truly a proud moment for Sri Saradha Ashram as Kirrtanah Sambamurthi from our association will now be pursuing her Degree in Early Childhood Education at a prominent University in Selangor starting September 2021. 

Kirrtanah who joined Sri Saradha Devi Ashram at a tender age of 7, was a student of SJK Tamil Rawang prior to continuing her STPM in SMK Seri Garing. Now, she has successfully moved on a step closer in achieving her dreams and goals. 

We would like to congratulate Kirrtanah and wish her all the best in all her future undertakings.
