  The residents of the Sri Saradha Devi Illam Welfare Association, Malaysia have celebrated the pongal festival with great enthusiasm at our association. This festival is dedicated to the sun god, Surya Bhagawan, and corresponds to Makar Sankranti, the harvest festival under many regional names celebrated throughout India. The three days of the Pongal festival are called Surya Pongal, and Mattu Pongal and Kaanum Pongal.

Here's to all sweets lovers................. what's life without desserts and sweets☺!
A special class on sweets making was conducted by an international college for the children of Sri Saradha Devi Illam. It was a fun and knowledgeable session as children were able to enhance their skills while enjoying themselves.
