SSDI Ponggal Celebration 2023

  The residents of the Sri Saradha Devi Illam Welfare Association, Malaysia have celebrated the pongal festival with great enthusiasm at our association. This festival is dedicated to the sun god, Surya Bhagawan, and corresponds to Makar Sankranti, the harvest festival under many regional names celebrated throughout India. The three days of the Pongal festival are called Surya Pongal, and Mattu Pongal and Kaanum Pongal.

SUKMA 2022 Silambam Selangor State Selection :)

It was a proud moment for Sri Saradha Devi Ashram when our children participated in the SUKMA 2022 Silambam Selangor State Selection.

Children had the opportunity to display their Silambam skills and talents as well as to build their confidence in facing their opponents. We had Nagaletchumy Allegesen from our association, who won third place for Gombak district. Although none of them made through the selection to the National Level, we are proud that they gave their best performances despite being new in this field against their opponents who are mostly black-belt holders.

We believe this experience and exposure will guide them to perform better in upcoming tournaments.
