SSDI Ponggal Celebration 2023

  The residents of the Sri Saradha Devi Illam Welfare Association, Malaysia have celebrated the pongal festival with great enthusiasm at our association. This festival is dedicated to the sun god, Surya Bhagawan, and corresponds to Makar Sankranti, the harvest festival under many regional names celebrated throughout India. The three days of the Pongal festival are called Surya Pongal, and Mattu Pongal and Kaanum Pongal.

Hinduism Class

on
Hinduism class is being conducted for the children of Sri Saradha Devi Ashram on a weekly basis by Master Brindaban Thiruchelvam. The class is conducted following the syllabus of Sugam Vedic School and includes wide range of topics such thevaram, bhajans, thirumurai, and etc. Besides religious awareness, Vedic Heritage i.e. Ramayana and Life Skills are also being taught in this class.
