SSDI Ponggal Celebration 2023

  The residents of the Sri Saradha Devi Illam Welfare Association, Malaysia have celebrated the pongal festival with great enthusiasm at our association. This festival is dedicated to the sun god, Surya Bhagawan, and corresponds to Makar Sankranti, the harvest festival under many regional names celebrated throughout India. The three days of the Pongal festival are called Surya Pongal, and Mattu Pongal and Kaanum Pongal.

Feeding The Needy Old Folks @ Lekshmy Illam Old Folks Home

In conjunction with Sri Saradha Devi Jayanthi, a visit was organized by our association to the Lekshmy Illam Old Folks Home to spend time with the elderly and to feed them. It was truly a wonderfully satisfying day.
