It's ART and CRAFT Session!

A weekly Arts & Craft class is being conducted by Mrs Thilagavathy on every Saturdays for the children of Sri Saradha Devi Ashram. Mrs Thilagavathy herself is an artist, who is well-known for her amazing arts and paintings.

Why Arts & Craft class?
  • Art, craft and design stimulates creativity and imagination.
  • It enables children to communicate what they see, feel and think through the use of colour, texture, form, pattern and different materials and processes.
  • Children become involved in shaping their environments through art, craft and design activities.
  • It enables children to record from first-hand experience and from imagination and to select their own ideas to use in their work;
  • Helps to develop creativity and imagination through a range of complex activities;
  • Helps to foster an enjoyment and appreciation of the visual arts and a knowledge of artists, craftspeople and designers.
Through the Arts & Craft classes, we have learned that our children are very much into skills and are truly passionate when it comes to hands-on work. They really enjoy their task and the outcomes of their hard work are mesmerizing.

Let's take a look at all their wonderful creation😊:

1. Stone Art
2. Dot Art Paintings
3. Wall Decoration
4. Henna Plates
5. Pretty Dolls
6. Thrones and Swing for Goddess
7. Ice-Cream Stick Art

Sri Saradha Devi Ashram would like to thank Mrs Thilagavathy for unleashing the creativity and potentials of our children.

We would like to gladly inform that all crafts prepared by our children are for charity sale. Do lend us a helping hand by purchasing these items made with so much love😊!
