  The residents of the Sri Saradha Devi Illam Welfare Association, Malaysia have celebrated the pongal festival with great enthusiasm at our association. This festival is dedicated to the sun god, Surya Bhagawan, and corresponds to Makar Sankranti, the harvest festival under many regional names celebrated throughout India. The three days of the Pongal festival are called Surya Pongal, and Mattu Pongal and Kaanum Pongal.

Collaboration with Warisan Mayapada Hijau Malaysia

On 1 June 2019, Warisan Mayapada Hijau Malaysia, conducted a wonderful planting session for the children of Sri Saradha Devi Ashram. The children were taught on methods to grow their own foods and to create composite fertilizers.
Warisan Mayapada Hijau also signed a Memorandum of Collaboration with Sri Saradha Devi Ashram for their Foodbank program.
Sri Saradha Devi Ashram humbly thanks Warisan Mayapada Hijau for their thoughtfulness in conducting this planting program for our children. Now,let's all wait for the plants to grow😉!!
