Sri Saradha Devi Ashram has organized a Badminton Coaching Clinic on 30 March 2019. This coaching clinic that is specially organized for the children of Sri Saradha Devi Ashram was conducted by Mr Raymond Stevon, the Head badminton coach of Kuala Lumpur together with another 5 of his senior student coaches.
The clinic which was held at All Sports Badminton Hall, Rawang started at 9am and ended at 1pm, with certificate presentation to all coaches as a token of appreciation. The main purpose of this clinic was to teach our children on the proper methods of playing badminton and to enhance their skills in this sports.
The coaching clinic covered the following areas:
1. Evaluation of current proficiency levels of the participants
2. Briefing on the coaching module developed by Mr Raymond and is imparted by his expert coaches
3. Explanation on wide range of games techniques, correct footwork, specific stroke play and etc.
4. Briefing on scientific warm up, post play stretching, fitness aspects and agility development.
It was truly a beneficial clinic for all the participants, both the children and volunteers. Lots of knowledge were gained besides being able to sweat out extra calories.
