  The residents of the Sri Saradha Devi Illam Welfare Association, Malaysia have celebrated the pongal festival with great enthusiasm at our association. This festival is dedicated to the sun god, Surya Bhagawan, and corresponds to Makar Sankranti, the harvest festival under many regional names celebrated throughout India. The three days of the Pongal festival are called Surya Pongal, and Mattu Pongal and Kaanum Pongal.

Basic Curtain Decoration & Design Workshop

On 21 April 2019, Kelab Rekreasi dan Sosial Rawang organised a Basic Curtain Decoration and Design Workshop. All children of Sri Saradha Devi Ashram also participated in this program. The event was graced by the presence of YB William Leong, the Parlimen Member of Selayang Constituency and YB Chua Wei Kiat, ADUN Rawang.
It was a whole day program from 8am to 4pm which taught the participants on ways to decorate curtains and make them more attractive. It also helps to enhance the skills of the participants in designing curtain decoration.
The program ended with certificate presentation to all participants by YB Chua Wei Kiat, ADUN Rawang.
Sri Saradha Devi Ashram would like to thank Kelab Rekreasi dan Sosial Rawang on their noble initiative and for providing this opportunity to our children.
