  The residents of the Sri Saradha Devi Illam Welfare Association, Malaysia have celebrated the pongal festival with great enthusiasm at our association. This festival is dedicated to the sun god, Surya Bhagawan, and corresponds to Makar Sankranti, the harvest festival under many regional names celebrated throughout India. The three days of the Pongal festival are called Surya Pongal, and Mattu Pongal and Kaanum Pongal.

Mind - mapping and development class for children of Sri Saradha Devi Ashram was conducted by Mr Sundara Raman from India. He is the Secretary General of Universal Peace Foundation of India. It was truly a beneficial class for our children as they learned on good mental and emotional development besides mind - mapping.
