SSDI Ponggal Celebration 2023

The residents of the Sri Saradha Devi Illam Welfare Association, Malaysia have celebrated the pongal festival with great enthusiasm at our association. This festival is dedicated to the sun god, Surya Bhagawan, and corresponds to Makar Sankranti, the harvest festival under many regional names celebrated throughout India. The three days of the Pongal festival are called Surya Pongal, and Mattu Pongal and Kaanum Pongal.

It's Deepavali @ Sri Saradha Devi Ashram

Deepavali or Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights. Being one of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, Deepavali symbolizes the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance.

Sri Saradha Devi Ashram celebrated its Deepavali on 6 November 2018 with all its children and voluteers. It was truly a fun-filled and exciting celebration☺!

There were lots of food i.e. vegetarian burgers, french fries, spring rolls and etc, that were prepared on stall by the volunteers for the kids. In addition, there were also pizza and some sweet delicacies.

The event was made merrier with musics and fire crackers. Children and volunteers had so much fun playing fire crackers.
After all, this is Deepavali all about: happiness, loving relations, bonding, good food, music and not forgetting Fire Crackers☺☺☺!
