  The residents of the Sri Saradha Devi Illam Welfare Association, Malaysia have celebrated the pongal festival with great enthusiasm at our association. This festival is dedicated to the sun god, Surya Bhagawan, and corresponds to Makar Sankranti, the harvest festival under many regional names celebrated throughout India. The three days of the Pongal festival are called Surya Pongal, and Mattu Pongal and Kaanum Pongal.

It was indeed a blessed day for Sri Saradha Devi Ashram as we were visited by His Holiness Paramahamsa Srimath Bharadwaj Swamigal from Sri Bhuvaneswari Peedam @ Sri Bharadwaj Ashram, Chennai, India on Sunday, 30 August 2015.
His Holiness Paramahamsa Srimath Bharadwaj Swamigal of Sri Bharadwaj Ashram is an exponent in authoring books. All the books authored by His Holiness give great truth, doctrines, and meanings about life. People who read these will realize so many aspects of life. His books focuses mainly on students welfare, people’s well-being, eradicating bad addictions, devotion towards God and so many other fields. In this context, His Holiness has completed authoring of 100 books.
In Sri Bharadwaj Ashram (a charitable trust since 1990), Annadhana (Poor feeding) is taking place since the beginning of the Ashram. Annadhana is done irrespective of caste, creed, and color. Several thousands of people have been fed in the Ashram.
His Holiness presence and blessings were truly a gift for all of us.
