  The residents of the Sri Saradha Devi Illam Welfare Association, Malaysia have celebrated the pongal festival with great enthusiasm at our association. This festival is dedicated to the sun god, Surya Bhagawan, and corresponds to Makar Sankranti, the harvest festival under many regional names celebrated throughout India. The three days of the Pongal festival are called Surya Pongal, and Mattu Pongal and Kaanum Pongal.

Reading books improve our vocabulary. The more you read, the more words you gain exposure to, and they'll inevitably make their way into your everyday vocabulary. Today, our girls have showed us they are also capable of being recognized by their school of reading the most books. We are very proud of the two of you and may you two be blessed always.
